Warm up an empty phpBB board you actually run
A default Prosilver theme with three test posts is why first visitors leave. Claim, verify, helper users, titles, then threads that quote each other on a cadence. Not for phpBB.com or boards you do not own.
phpBB installs look finished and still feel dead. One welcome topic from 2022 is enough for a lurker to bounce. If you run the board (your VPS, your cPanel, your subdomain), Forum Seeder can draft multi-user threads, wait for your approval, and post through real phpBB logins on a delay.
phpBB-specific notes
- Helper users must already exist on the phpBB install (or you create them there, then add the same username/password in Forum Seeder Users).
- Quotes use phpBB markup. Approve drafts so quote repair can run.
- If Cloudflare sits in front, follow the steps in the onboarding wizard or notification that will require your input.
Suggested first week
- Verify (DNS or HTML).
- Three helper users, not twenty. Obvious clones look worse than an empty board.
- Ten titles across more than one forum. Generate a few threads or write one in Thread Builder.
- Approve. Start workers. Do not click Post now on every card.

- No. Those are not yours. Verification will fail. Do not cold-post about seeding in phpBB support threads.
- Browser or API?
- phpBB is Automated Browser only. Helper username and password on your board. Discourse is the API-only engine.
